A dream comes true: My start on the Pacific Crest Trail on March 24, 2025

Welcome to My Blog!
The time has come – a big dream of mine is becoming reality. On March 24, 2025, I will begin my adventure on the legendary Pacific Crest Trail (PCT). This journey means far more to me than just a long walk through nature. It is the fulfillment of a heartfelt wish that has accompanied me for years.
The Pacific Crest Trail is a roughly 4,270-kilometer long-distance hiking trail, stretching from the Mexican border in California to the Canadian border in British Columbia. It crosses deserts, mountains, and dense forests, presenting a challenge both physically and mentally. I am looking forward to experiencing this trail step by step, enjoying the beauty of nature, and discovering more about myself along the way.
Preparations in Full Swing
Such an adventure requires not only courage but also a lot of planning and organization. I am currently deep in preparations and enjoying every moment – even though it can sometimes be a real challenge to keep track of everything.
Gear: I am researching the lightest and most reliable tents, sleeping bags, and backpacks to accompany me on this long journey. Every gram counts, and I want to make sure I am prepared for all weather conditions.
Resupply strategy: On the PCT, there are no supermarkets around every corner. That’s why I am carefully planning how to send food packages to strategic points along the route or buy supplies along the way.
Why the PCT?
Ever since I first heard about this trail, it has held a magical attraction for me. The idea of living outdoors for months, discovering a new chapter of nature every day, and experiencing the vastness of the American West fills me with awe and anticipation.
It’s not just about the physical challenge but also about the inner journey: the peace, the time for reflection, and the experience of living in harmony with nature.
On the Trail Together
I’m excited to share my travel experiences with you. Here on the blog, I will post regular updates – from the final preparations to my experiences on the trail. There will be stories, photos, and insights into life on the PCT.
Stay tuned, because the adventure has just begun! Do you have questions about the PCT, my preparations, or tips for me? I look forward to your comments!
